Initial meeting for all genres of photography:

This meeting will take place at a venue of your choice, typically your home or we can meet for a coffee at a venue close to you.

We will take sometime getting to know each other and will discuss your 'Brief'. No doubt you will have some ideas and questions that you want to put to me. If it is appropriate, I will meet the rest of the family and even spend some time playing with your children so on the day of the shoot I am not a complete stranger to them.

We will discuss places that are appropriate for the shoot. Typically I like to shoot at locations that are of interest to you and your family. A favourite beach or place you enjoy walking or even at home playing with some favourite toys. Or perhaps a combination of all of these. It's up to you.

Also included will be a discussion about what you are looking to achieve in terms of 'showing off' your pictures i.e. prints/frames or canvasses to be hung on a wall. I can give advice and guidance in this area. I like all my clients to know their costs beforehand. I know some photographers do this differently but I like my clients to have a very good idea of what their costs will be before you see your pictures. I find the whole process is more enjoyable for you doing it that way.

Some days before the shoot

By now, you will have read the 'What to wear' section of my Website under the 'Information' tab. We will have chosen the place for the shoot which I will typically visit before the day to familiarise myself with it. If required, further guidance will be given on what to wear.

I do ask for a small deposit at this stage but then use this to go towards your final bill.

In the unlikely event that the weather does not allow the shoot to progress, we can reschedule. Most people assume that we have to have clear blue skies and sunshine to shoot. This is not the case but I will explain more when we meet.

We will discuss how the session will run with me giving you advice based on my own experiences.

The day of the shoot

I will have called you prior to our shoot to confirm the booking arrangements. We meet, and I summarise the 'Brief' and remind you how the session will run.

My job as your photographer is to make you all look as good as possible. So, this will involve some fun coaching on poses that emphasise all your best features! However, these will look natural!

A typical shoot will last between one and two hours depending on the chosen locations and age of the children. Commercial shots can vary depending of what you are looking to achieve and the number of products I am having to shoot.

You will see the images as we go along which will give you confidence that I am getting what you want and of course the session will be fun and energised!

After the shoot

This is the Post Production stage. I will make you aware when the images are ready for viewing on my website. I will email you a link to your 'Private Gallery' along with a Password. This ensures that that no one else will be able to see the images. You will be able to share that link with others if you wish. At this stage, you will not be able to download them.

If applicable, we then meet again and start the process of selecting images for printing, framing or placing onto canvass. I will bring my frame samples to you at home so that you can see them in context to your own style of furnishing.

I will look to take you order at this stage along with any additional items you want to purchase.

At that point, I will for full payment via cash or electronic payment. No cheques please.

Delivery of purchased products

I will deliver all of your chosen purchases to you at home suitably wrapped. This will include a 'goodie' bag for the children (age dependent and no sweets). At this point, your images will be available for download to you and your relatives and friends via my website.
